SOIL HEALTH AND FERTILIZATION

To keep a healthy soil is essential for to have healthy crops without stress. This implies a well-structured soil, with organic matter and normal microbial life, especially in the area of the rhizosphere. A good soil structure is essential for a healthy cropping, and a rhizosphere no altered allows plants to grow more vigorous.

The application of agrochemicals cause imbalances in above subjects. Aside from pesticides and their effect on microflora and microfauna of the soil, applying only mineral fertilization occurs a drastic impoverishment of the organic matter, which in turn affects decisively the soil structure, and microbial life. Also, salinity caused by applying only mineral fertilization impoverish the microbial life.

Besides using an integrated crop management that allow to reduce pesticide inputs, it is adviced a fertilization low aggressive, with limited inflow and distribution of minerals, and with restoring of the organic matter degraded along the year.
