| FERTILIZING
When
we have to fertilize a crop there are two main points to
take into account:
+
The soil isn't olny a subtrate, it is also an ecosystem,
specially the ryzosphere. If we damage the natural inhabitants,
we will break the biological stability, with consecuences
on soil structure, own soil fertility, and obviously on
the crop.
+
It is necessary to replace the nutrients used by crops,
but it is an accurate work. Usually, farmers apply more
fertilizer than needed, and in specific crops, as vegetables
or fruit, often twice or even more. When is applied more
fertilizer than needed, beside cost, it can induce minor
elements defficiences, and beside, the effects between different
fertilizer applications become confused.
Before
other points, the fertilization must follow the manufacturer
label instructions. As general example of fertilizing practique,
it can be resumed as:
|
|
+
A basic element apport, based in NPK, better if also with
minor elements.
+
An organic apport, with a product containing organic matter,
or/and a product with humic acids that also has the stimulant
effect of these ones.
+
A specific fertilization with minor elements if needed by
plant requeriments or soil nature.
+
An extra apport with aminoacids in case of somekind of stress
of plants (growing, drought, fructification, etc.).
+
A help for better fructification and increase of fruits
with an specific product.
Other
products as hormones, stimulators, etc. are extra costs
only justified in specific situations and/or specific crops.
